In FC Mobile, Head to Head mode, or H2H for short, is an online multiplayer mode where you face your opponents in a full 11 vs 11 match. I'm not an expert in this mode, so I asked my masked partner for help.

I'm talking about De Mysterio, who has already published the video of this guide on his YouTube channel (I'll leave you the link at the end of this guide). If you're looking for more information on this mode or other aspects of the game, I suggest you watch his videos on his channel (you'll find the link in the partner section).

INTRO

This guide will cover the main topics of this game mode. What are the best skill moves and how to use them, the best formations to use, ranks and training, which players to use in this mode and much more.

As you can see from this image I am not a fan of this mode, maybe just a bit of laziness, but my masked partner is an expert in this mode. We will also talk about how to defend and how to shoot, as well as the mentality and the construction of the game. Details that will help you become a Pro Player of the Head to Head mode on FC Mobile.

SKILL MOVES

When we talk about skill moves in Head to Head mode, we don't mean that you have to turn into a Brazilian player, but that there are 4 main skill moves that will help you improve your gameplay.

Lane change, open up fakeshot, step over and heel 2 heel are the main skill moves for this game mode. I won't go into too much detail on each of these skill moves, also because a video would be needed, but I will focus on their configuration. In the image you see a custom configuration, but make your choices, in case you decide to use this scheme, also based on your habits. Having mastery of the use of skill moves, knowing which one to use in different situations and how to choose it, is the basis for a professional gameplay.

FORMATIONS

Before we look closely at the best formations to use in Head to Head mode, it is good to know one thing. With the right players and with a good knowledge of the players you use, which only time can give, all formations are good.

The suggested formations for this game mode are 41212 Narrow and Wide, 4231 Narrow and Wide, 4222, 442 Holding and 433 and all its variants.

PLAYERS

The same rules apply to choosing players as in other game modes in Head to Head. So I suggest you check out my guides on how to choose the goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders and attackers. But now let's focus on this game mode.

In De Mysterio's video, an example is shown with the 433, one of the most used formations, probably because it is one of the first available in the game and therefore one of the formations we are most used to playing with.

When choosing attacking wingers, it is suggested to choose a LW with a right foot and a RW with a left foot, this is because, as already explained in my guide on how to choose attackers, the natural movement with these players is to move inside to shoot at goal.

For offensive players, a player with 5 stars weak foot is always suggested, this will allow you to take more accurate shots than other players. A minimum training at level 25 should improve the performance of players with 4 stars weak foot, but if you are looking for perfection I suggest players with 5 stars weak foot.

For midfielders and defenders, for which you can consult my guides on how to choose them, you also need to evaluate some traits and their work rates. This aspect will help you not to have players out of position when you have to deal with the defensive phase.

I won't go into too much detail about the players, not because the De Mysterio guide isn't accurate, but because you can just follow my guides on this website to get more details that will help you make the right choice.

RANKS AND TRAINING

Another aspect that should not be underestimated is the ranks and training. This is an important aspect because it will guarantee you much better performances from your players.

In FC Mobile, in Head to Head mode, ranks and training play a primary role compared to the overall OVR of the team. This means that a player OVR 96 with orange rank and training level 30 will always be stronger than a player OVR 101 with purple rank and training at level 20.

Increasing a player's rank and training is still very expensive, but in his video guide, De Mysterio shows the method currently most used by FC Mobile users. It's a method that I personally have been using since the beginning of the season and will allow you to save some coins for training. The method consists of buying pairs of bronze players, which individually would be worth 120 XP, to obtain a green rank version, which will subsequently be worth 360 XP (so a free 33%). Although very long and boring, it's the only method that allows you to save coins.

GOALKEEPERS

For choosing a goalkeeper you can consult my guide on how to choose one, but regarding its use in Head to Head mode the advice is only one: do not use it in a stupid way. Making the goalkeeper come out of the posts, or venturing into your half of the field in search of a better pass, will expose you to many risks. Useless risks if you want to become a Pro Player.

HOW TO DEFEND

Probably to explain this part it would be better to go and watch his video (this part starts at about minute 13), but the main suggestion is to be patient. The double marking, as effective as it can be sometimes, especially in counterattacks, is never a good choice when the building game is slow.

Knowing the right techniques to defend, such as the hard tackle, can also be functional in many defensive situations. Only a lot of practice will perfect your defensive skills. Defending is like a game of chess, sometimes you also have to know how to predict your opponent's moves.

SHOTS AND PASSES

Even for shots and passes, only practice will make you better. If you are a new user, practice with standard passes and shots, this way you will learn the right timing to perform them, but if you want to improve your gameplay you will have to start thinking like a professional.

As I think you have already noticed, when you make a pass with the buttons, you can change the type of pass. In addition to the standard one, you can choose between a driven ground pass or other types. Do a lot of tests and try to understand how to use and exploit these passes in different situations.

Even in movements you could consider using trigger runs, a combination of buttons that will allow you to move even players who are not in possession of the ball. This is probably one of the most difficult skills to learn, but it will probably make you become a true Pro Player.

Even for shots you will have several choices in addition to the standard shot. The finesse shot is my favorite, which guarantees greater accuracy in all game modes. Avoid if possible the power shot which, as spectacular as it is, sometimes is too slow in the loading phase and risks not being effective.

MENTALITY

In the final part of his video, De Mysterio probably highlights one of the main aspects of this mode, but which can also be extended to the VS Attack mode. Play with a clear mind. If you start a losing streak, do not continue playing in search of the last victory before turning off the game, this will make you less clear-headed and you could lose all the fame points accumulated with so much effort.

CONCLUSIONS

This guide, in collaboration with my masked friend De Mysterio, should give you the basics to start improving your gameplay in Head to Head mode on FC Mobile. If you want to see his video on this guide, which I recommend especially for the part about defense and the type of shots and passes, this is the link to his video.
